So we are actually leaving the country today! And are VERY excited! Off to London, England...then south to Cornwall for some prelaxing!

Also, Meese Clothing (31D Perron Street, St. Albert) has some new Skeptic Smittens so go check them out before they sell out! There are only a few pairs! They are also available at Smoking Lily and soon smokinglily.com.

Catch you on the flip side!

Ready to go!

I am officially all packed and the place has been cleaned spotless, which seems about right considering I got up at 7:30 or so...very excited!! I have decided not to make that last minute cardigan I have been dreaming about and instead will go for a nice walk with Ben to Cook Street Village for one of my final Starbucks visits that I seem to have become so addicted to.

Here's something exciting to check out, and it almost seems too good to be true. Tim Burton, Johnny Depp, ALICE IN WONDERLAND!! March 5, 2010.

RTW 2009

So I thought I should blog about Ben's and my upcoming trip. After our wonderful summer wedding, we are very excited (and lucky) to be going on a quest to circumnavigate the globe!

Our approximate itinerary is as follows:

Aug 21 - 26 Edmonton and St. Albert, AB to visit my new nephew Jaxon!!
Aug 27- Sep 11 London and Cornwall, England to visit Ben's extended family and rest up
Sep 12- 25 Egypt (Cairo, Luxor, Aswan) and Jordan (Petra), possibly Jerusalem, Israel?
Sept 26- Nov 1 India and Nepal
Nov 2- Dec 20 Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam
Dec 21- Jan 1 St. Albert for Xmas

Right now I am mostly excited for...well all of it. But when I close my eyes, I see the colors of India!

New Smittens!

With summer at it’s peak, the Skeptic studio is scattered in wool scraps…which means it’s SMITTEN time again! This is my second year making the new style of mitten, inspired by the kind your Grandma might knit for you. Made of thick and stretchy boiled wool, they are washed a second time after fabrication for better shape and added softness. And they have mini appliqués! Trees, skulls, music notes, butterflies, octopus, and maybe a few more! Stay tuned, more info to come!

I have a blog!

I've decided to create a blog to share some things about myself and my clothing label (since we are one in the same I figure we can share it). So here I will post stories, thoughts, pictures, and inspirations that I come across over the next however long I can keep this up! Also, please meet Jack Keroauc...I couldn't find an appropriate picture of myself so I thought this would do. I am in some way related to this handsome (and talented) author of On The Road.
